Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero has been model and actress in America for many years. Her most well-known work is her part in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain as well as being the singer-in-chief of Apollonia 6, a girl group. Apollonia was given the title of an actress and singer by Prince. The 1980s were a time of change for her, she became one among several other performers who gained from Prince. Patricia Kotero began her acting and modeling career in Santa Monica California, in the latter half of the '70s. She also appeared on CHiPS. Kotero was the female lead for Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at when he was changing the name of her). The same year, she was replaced by Vanity in the form of the trio Vanity 6 and was a part of the group under the name Apollonia 6 in the film. She made more of an influence on the charts by being Prince's mate in Take Me with You, a duet from his soundtrack. When the two had a disagreement about the direction of her career Apollonia six broke up and Kotero ended her association with Prince. She went on to appear in various minor roles throughout the time (reportedly not wanting to be on The Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) before landing in the role of a nighttime television drama Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia made her debut album in 1988. However, her comparatively tame collection of songs that incorporated dance/R&B did not impress the music-buying public and the album soon vanished from sight. In the years following, Apollonia continued to perform as an actress (if she was a bit under the radar) as well as a couple of TV roles, movies and an exercise video. In 1997 Apollonia made a record in English and Spanish called Stay With me. After that, she went back to college and earned a filmmaking degree, and formed her own production firm, which mainly focuses on television for children. Apollonia Kotero wears many hats. She was a former actress, singer, and model. The role she played as an actor in 1984's Purple Rain made her a famous star. She has also appeared on television shows as well as in films like Black Magic Woman. Kotero debuted her career as a model. She's been involved in a variety of events as well as pageants. Alongside Purple Rain, she has appeared in numerous films. Her popular films are Back To Back Black Magic Woman La Donna di una Sera and Cattive Ragazze. The American beauty also appeared in music video for Ray Parker Jr., Eddie Money and other artists. Kotero was also an entrepreneur who created Kotero Entertainment, a multimedia entertainment company.
